Newborn Packages

All newborn sessions require a $100 retainer fee to hold your spot, which is deducted from your total. The remainder of the payment is due the day of the shoot. Retainers are nonrefundable and a $100 rebooking fee will apply for any session cancelled within 24 hours of shoot or reasons other than illness. Payment is due in full upon rebooking and may be rescheduled one time before a rebooking fee applies. 

I never guarantee a pose. Each session is lead by the baby as each baby has their own likes and dislikes. If the baby is not happy with a given pose, we will move on to something else. Rarely is there a pose that can't be accomplished (with the exception of froggy. )This also applies to sibling shots. We will work our best to capture a toddler with his/her new brother/sister, but some toddlers have other plans.  For this reason, this shot will happen early on in the shoot.

Clients will receive their images in an online gallery where they are free to order prints and download their files. Clients are granted all printing rights to these photos, meaning they are free to print where they choose. 

I recommend that clients books book as soon as they have hit their second trimester. I take a limited number of newborn each month, so the sooner you book the better. I schedule newborns about a week past their due date. Generally this date works out, but we can always adjust it if the mother goes into labor before or after her due date. 

Newborn sessions ideally take place between day 5 and day 14. These sessions can be done later, but the baby will likely be more alert and sleepy poses may not happen. All newborn sessions except for the "Fresh 48" sessions take place in my studio in Columbus, Ohio right outside of Lewis Center.  All props, backdrops, outfits and accessories are here in the studio. 

During the "Newborn + Family" shoots, we start with the family shots, then proceed to siblings shots, and then the remainder of the shoot will focus on the baby. The studio is kept very warm, so please dress appropriately or bring a change of clothes for after the family shot. "All Wrapped Minis" are 1 hour and "Simply Baby" and "Newborn + Family" sessions are usually between 2-3 hours.  I recommend bringing a lot of extra milk (disregard if exclusively nursing) and a pacifier, even if baby is not taking one.  This will help the session run much smoother. We use this soothing tool when baby is not hungry, but needs pacification while posing. Some poses, such as buckets, may not be able to be accomplished without a pacifier.
